  2. The metaverse is a shift in how we interact with technology and can include virtual and augmented reality.
  3. It can also include virtual worlds accessed through PCs, games consoles, and phones.
  4. The metaverse is the next generation of the internet and is becoming a buzzword for tech companies.
  5. Meta, Microsoft, and Kawasaki are among the companies with plans for the metaverse.
  6. Meta wants to provide a way for creators to build a business within the metaverse, while Microsoft is focused on improving the business applications of metaverse technologies.
  7. Decentraland is a metaverse space based on non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and blockchain technology.
  8. The metaverse is currently in a development phase and it is uncertain when the real world and the virtual one will fully collide.
  9. Some experts predict the metaverse will become fully integrated into society in the next decade.
  10. Ethical considerations, such as data privacy and the potential for exclusion, will need to be addressed as the metaverse continues to develop.
